About the role
Hotel Renmark is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As our Head Chef, you will report directly to our Executive Chef. You will be in a hands on role, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time role based in Renmark, South Australia.
What you'll be doing
Lead and manage the kitchen team, including menu planning, budgeting
Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that showcase high-quality, locally sourced ingredients
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to health and safety standards
Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment that encourages professional growth and development
Collaborate with the hotel management team to align culinary offerings with the overall brand and guest experience
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to maximize profitability
What we're looking for
An experienced Sous Chef looking for the next step or Head chef looking for a change
Restaurant experience is important
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams
Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices
Creativity and flair for designing visually appealing and flavorful dishes
Passion for using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and creating memorable dining experiences
