About the role


Hotel Renmark is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As our Head Chef, you will report directly to our Executive Chef. You will be in a hands on role, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time role based in Renmark, South Australia.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, including menu planning, budgeting

  • Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that showcase high-quality, locally sourced ingredients

  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to health and safety standards

  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment that encourages professional growth and development

  • Collaborate with the hotel management team to align culinary offerings with the overall brand and guest experience

  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to maximize profitability

What we're looking for

  • An experienced Sous Chef looking for the next step or Head chef looking for a change

  • Restaurant experience is important  

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices

  • Creativity and flair for designing visually appealing and flavorful dishes

  • Passion for using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and creating memorable dining experiences
