Job Overview:

Hotel Renmark is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager in daily operations, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests, and maintaining high standards of service and quality. Hotel Renmark, located in the picturesque Riverland region of South Australia, is a bustling hub for both tourists and the local community. With a rich history and charm, the hotel recently underwent $3 million in capital improvements from 2019 to 2022, with further upgrades planned for the near future. This unique opportunity allows you to work in a newly renovated, historic venue that caters to a busy trade of visitors eager to explore the scenic beauty of the area, as well as a dedicated local clientele. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Daily Operations: Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Nanya Bistro operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, inventory management and functions

  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate the bistro team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure high performance and adherence to service standards.

  • Customer Service: Ensure guests receive outstanding service from the moment they arrive until they leave. Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure menu items meet our standards.

  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special events and promotions within the bistro, such as themed nights, wine tastings, and community events.

  • Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Help in preparing reports on sales, labor, and expenses.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests.

  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with local suppliers and community members to enhance the bistro's reputation and support local business.
